Mohu Leaf Antenna Review

Today we’ve got the Mohu Leaf antenna review for you, which provides a look at a product that helps many individuals receive a variety of local stations via Hi-def television signal.  The Mohu Leaf revolutionizes television for everyone, allowing full-HD broadcasts of your favorite television shows without the expense of a cable or satellite subscription! Mohu Leaf is easy to connect, aesthetically discreet and provides full network programming in full 1080p high definition broadcasting.

Mohu Leaf AntennaThis paper thin electronic device allows users to install the accompanying cord into the back of their existing television, while mounting the lightweight, 15 ounce and 11.8″ x 1″ x 12″, device behind a bookshelf or behind the television itself to remain discreet. The surface is also reversible — white on one side, and black on the other — and paintable, should your creative savvy extend to its application.

Each network carries a distinct digital sub-channel that is picked up by the Mohu Leaf to heighten each viewer’s television experience. The Mohu Leaf allows you to view all of your favorite news, weather, sports and sitcoms in beautiful high definition, without the costly bill that usually accompanies such a luxury.

The paper-thin antenna allows its users to scan their favorite network channels to pick up the best high definition signal available, to watch all of their favorite preferred programming in a whole new light! Its distinct mudflap design was mimicked from a U.S. Military design concept created by the same parent company, which allows for perfect reception no matter where you watch television. Designed and manufactured in the United States, this exciting device comes with a limited one year warranty.

Some of the user benefits of the Mohu Leaf, outside of its crystal clear signal delivery, include:

• Designed & Manufactured in the USA
• Discreet Composition
• Easy to Install & Use
• Increased Range for Country Homes, Cabins and Dwellings
• No Astronomical Cable or Satellite Bills
• No Unsightly Antenna Towers
• One Year Limited Warranty
• Significant Channel Reception
• Unparalleled Customer Service

Setup & Initial Impressions: Set up of the Leaf antenna was a breeze.  You simply connect one end of the coaxial cable to your television, and the other end to the connector on the Leaf.  From there, you can position the antenna where you want on your wall, or set it up with your own custom-made stand.

Next, you’ll go to your TV’s on screen menu and make sure to go to the Antenna/TV source.  Once there, you will want to do a scan for available channels and let the TV run through.  We located 16 channels using the Leaf including local news networks and their separate digital feeds.  We obtained CBS, NBC, ABC and FOX along with Qubo, a kids cartoon network, CW, Ion, My-19, MeTV and a shopping network.  It took probably about 5 minutes to perform the scan, and then we were able to watch channels right away. You can check out the site here to see what channels may be available digitally in your area.

The image clarity is pretty sharp too.  Keep in mind, some stations may have some issues due to reception.  There is always the option to buy an additional signal amplifier which may bring in even more stations, so keep that in mind.  Also, you will need some sort of device to hook up with the antenna or your TV if you want to record shows.

While the Mohu Leaf antenna may not work perfectly in every area around the country, for $40 (or a bit more for the Ultimate version), people can use this to still enjoy a decent variety of local and other digital channels.  Add in something like Hulu Plus, Netflix and Amazon Prime, and you’re still saving a whole lot compared to what cable and satellite services charge. You can see a hands-on unboxing and overview of the device in our unboxing video below.
