Walmart just announced that it is offering the neat little tech device for just $29.98 (normally $35) on Thanksgiving Day 2013 as part of its Black Friday 2013 sale. For some, a $5 discount may not seem like much, but given that the Chromecast is already so competitively priced, it is actually a nice savings on a device that has a lot of versatility. This device plugs right into your HDTV, and it allows you to “cast” any Google Chrome tab to your screen, which gives you the ability to watch nearly anything you can find on the Internet. In addition, the Chromecast also has apps for Netflix, Hulu Plus, Google Play Movies, and HBO Go with more likely to come.
In addition to being on sale at Walmart.com, the Chromecast is also supposed to come up as an Amazon Lightning Deal sometime over the next two days at Amazon as part of its Black Friday 2013 Deals Week.
